“The Voice That Was Listened to Most Closely”
Former ULI Foundation Chairman and longtime ULI Trustee Robert C. Larson died March 11 after a lengthy illness. He was 75. Read an appreciation article about Mr. Larson’s many contributions to ULI and the industry.

Student Design Competition Down to “Final Four”
 

Four teams representing five universities have been selected as finalists for the eighth annual ULI Gerald D. Hines Student Urban Design Competition. They include:
  • Harvard University
  • University of Maryland, College Park
  • North Carolina State University/University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and
  • University of Pennsylvania
The teams proposed a design and development approach for a 73.5 acre site in East Village in downtown San Diego. The top prize is $50,000.
