WHAT IS THE CENTER FOR LEADERSHIP?
The Center for Leadership is a curriculum-based program designed to cultivate and mentor the next generation of real estate and land use leaders in Orange County and the Inland Empire. The program operates under ULI’s Larson Leadership Initiative, named for the late Robert C. Larson, a nationally recognized real estate professional, Chairman Emeritus of Larson Realty Group, trustee of the Urban Land Institute, and former chair of the ULI Foundation. Center for Leadership cohorts have been implemented within several district councils across the country including, but not limited to, Michigan, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Florida, and the Pacific Northwest. The Orange County/Inland Empire District is excited to bring it to the region’s rising stars.
The goal of the Larson Center for Leadership is to foster leadership development by educating a select group of current and future leaders on the transformative dynamics evolving within the regions’ real estate and land use industries, and to promote their engagement in the process, building a network along the way.
The Center for Leadership program is comprised of eight program days. Each day having a specific topic of focus, such as infrastructure, entitlement and policy, and capital markets and finance. Individual days are hosted by Center for Leadership Partner(s)/Organization(s) which have graciously agreed to donate time and efforts to this unique program.
The envisioned Participants are those currently in leadership positions or poised to assume leadership positions in their organization or profession in the near term, who work either directly or indirectly in the real estate or land-use sectors and have a strong working knowledge and commitment to the mission of the Urban Land Institute. The Center for Leadership will be an annual program and a new cohort will be selected each fiscal year.
