ULI to Hold TAP for Indian Wells

ULI Seeks Volunteers to Study Highest and Best Use Development Opportunities in Indian Wells, Calif.

ULI seeks professionals to participate in a Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) to study ways in which the City may facilitate future development of 10 individual sites that would generate long-term financial benefit to the City, provide amenities to the residents, maximizes synergy with adjacent land uses as well as bolster the City’s high-end brand.  Furthermore, the City is seeking ULI’s recommendations on a development implementation strategy, which considers multiple properties and owners, market viability, timing and the elimination of barriers to entry.

In the City of Indian Wells, Calif there are approximately 170 acres of undeveloped land located along Highway 111 in the Coachella Valley. These parcels represent opportunities to develop projects that can potentially support the surrounding commercial development, Coachella Valley residents, local tourism market and the fiscal sustainability of the City. These properties are zoned resort commercial, community commercial and residential land use, and they are vacant properties, held by either private ownership, the City, or the City’s Housing Authority.

If you are interested in getting involved in one of the most valuable ULI community outreach activities, you must be able to attend a site tour in June 2016 and spend one day working on the TAP in late September or early October.  Both activities will be held in Indian Wells.
