ULI Orange County/Inland Empire: Frawn Morgan presents 'Well-Being in Working Mothers: A research study'
In 2018 Frawn Morgan began researching the well-being of working mothers as part of her doctoral studies. This was a continuation of prior research she undertook into the motherhood penalty and other factors affecting working mothers today.
After several rounds of research, including focus groups, surveys, and ultimately workshops exploring the stress related to maternal guilt, Frawn found it is possible to raise well-being in working mothers. These well-being increases reduce the stress that mothers experience due to their multiple roles and specifically, reduce the negative impacts of maternal guilt.
Frawn will share some background of the research and how that led to the development of a workshop to decrease the guilt and stress that working mothers can experience, including tips on how to incorporate these strategies into everyday life.
