    Kristen Maher Senior Vice President, Rancho Mission Viejo Kris is a Senior Vice President in Community Development at Rancho Mission Viejo. She joined Rancho Mission Viejo in 2014 after serving as a full time consultant for over ten years in a variety of capacities. She is currently responsible for overall urban planning and community design. This includes design oversight of all vertical elements – retail, office, medical, civic, recreational and residential including new product development. Kris’ experience is multi-faceted and encompasses more than 30 years with some of the leading architects, builders and developers in Southern California including Bassenian Lagoni Architects, A-M Homes, Greystone Homes and Brookfield Homes. A licensed Architect, Kris received her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Arts and Sciences from San Diego State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of California at Irvine.

    2022 Biography: Career: Vice President, Planning & Entitlement at Rancho Mission Viejo, the master developer new communities in south Orange County, California. Previously, served as an entitlement consultant to Rancho Mission Viejo, The Irvine Company, Lennar Homes and William Lyon Homes. Began career (and met my wife) at County of Orange planning dept. Education Cal Poly San Luis Obispo: 1981 BS, City & Regional Planning Personal: Born and raised in Nebraska (Columbus and Lincoln) Wife Sara, two children out of college.
