This year marks ten years since the inception of ULI’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI). Established in 2011, today has an active Americas Executive Committee in addition to 40+ chapters in 8 countries around the world. The WLI leaders support local programming and initiatives, helping to increase both the number and visibility of more women leaders throughout ULI’s vast network.

To mark the celebration, the OCIE WLI affinity group hosted a celebratory reception at Hi-Time in Costa Mesa on Wednesday, October 5th. We were honored to welcome back the first chair of the OCIE WLI, Julie Brinkerhoff-Jacobs, President & CFO of Lifescapes International. Julie shared with the group about her experiences as a woman in CRE and the importance of the WLI. Her comments were followed by past WLI Chair Astrid Collins, Strategy and Operations Executive, Real Estate and Telecommunications with Boardwalk Investments, and current WLI Chair, Christine Obnial, Project Manager at Ware Malcomb. Attendees enjoyed a wonderful evening of fine wine and even better conversation!
